A Spiritual Gangsta is a woman who is bold and courageous in her obedience and pursuit of God. She is strong, and she is a woman who is not shaken. She is resolved in her commitment to the Lord, and she is willing to fight and follow the call of the Lord at any cost.
No one is born a spiritual G. No one is born with special faith or special access to God. Now this is not to discount the honor and favor of praying family members, heritage and blessings, BUT the reality is that no matter where we come from, in our walk with Jesus, we all must work out our faith! (Phillipians 2:12) We all must go through our own battles to become the gangstas we are called to be. This is not to say that we are “thugs” or “hoodlums,” out here breaking the law and hurting people, but for 80’s and 90’s babies born, the term “gangsta” can have a number of meanings, one of which is the idea of having a bold and assertive quality about your beliefs.
When the word “is used to describe a person who is a “G” or when their action are described as “gangsta,” it often means this person “keeps it real,” what they did reflected a complete resolve to be who they are and stand for what they represent. A “G” is s a person who is real, a person who will be there for you, a person who faces fears, a person who will go anywhere and do anything to get the job done… a person who is willing to die.
As a Spiritual Gangsta, we then can only go through spiritual bootcamp and go through the growing pains to become the person who can stand and be strong and be resolved in their faith. The ways that we can do that is community, the word, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
The prayer is that this devotion series will help you to ARISE and to be the Spiritual G that you are called to be.
